Using 2009. We are doing a architectural project in two different offices and linking the files together. Some issues but generally going ok. Now one office has the central file w/ all the rooms and doors and the other office wants to be in charge of the schedules. I have got the schedule to read the linked central file which currently just has the basic info including the room name and number and the door number and size. No other info is attached to those tags so the schedule is basically empty. I cannot enter info into the schedule because the rest of the info is in the central file. I am wondering if there is a way to remotely enter info into the schedule and read it back into the central file. I can export the schedule to Xcel and add the info required. Can that Xcel file then be read back into the central file and get into the appropriate tags or am I just kidding myself????? Anyone run into this????
