We have created an egress symbol which allows the end user to input the Egress Width and Factor and in turn will calculate the Egress Capacity. We also have parameters for the end user to edit the Exit Number and Exit Type (See BMP 1). We have created a tag to attach to the symbol which will read these parameters. Finally, we've created a schedule for all of this information. We are having an issue where the schedule is placing one line above all the information(see BMP2) which, when I click "Show", ends up highlighting the doors. My question is: what parameter could possibly be putting the doors in my schedule? For now, manual entry of this information is fine, but if anyone could possibly answer these "wishlist" items, that'd be great:How can I get the tag to "host" to a door or stair and read the Element property automatically? Can I get the tag to read the "Width" parameters automatically? Thanks for all of your help!Jim

I was just creating tags to display egress requirements for doors and stairs.  I was getting very frustrated until I realized I needed to create shared parameters from the project parameters window.  I also edited my doors to have some of the same parameters.  Without going into depth with text, download my attachment and see if this answers your question.

Mattmols,

Did you ever figure out how to make this work with a stair width?
