Simply put I want to be able to show a high window above the typical cutting plane of the first floor plan. So of course I went about making a plan region. Well that works showing the window but also removes any detail in the the rest of the exact wall. The detail is seen in the plan region as it should be. Just not outside the plan region. It effects only the wall being "regioned". I searched and couldn't find a legitimate answer to similar questions. Thanks in advance.

maybe the plan region you draw is bigger than necessary, try to make your region smaller. It helped with my problems i had about plan regions in the past

I am not sure what you mean? My view ranges for the host view and the plan region are both set to the appropriate levels. I did change the view range in the plan region if thats what your asking. The plan region is only affecting the wall it touches. All other walls in the view are as they should be. And yes your image is exactly what is happening. Thanks for any input.

Your image is the "problem" i am experiencing........ on the outside of the plan region I want to see the wall like it is on the inside of the plan region. Bottom Line. I need to see a high window without losing the rest of the wall outside the plan region.

Appreciate the promt reply. I tried lowering the top of the floor plan view range as you said.. and didnt get any results. Here are four picutres. First two picture show the same... wall same view ranges... one without the plan region on the wall and one with the plan region on the wall. Last two are showing my view range settings. Which by them selves work as intended. It is when the plan region cuts into that wall and only that wall that it removes the outside detail of the wall. Edited on: Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 2:09:25 PM
