I was just wondering if anyone had a clever way to prevent section tags from showing up in all my views.

I am nearly done with a CD set and had to do some shaftwall details, now I have to go through all of my plans, sections, elevations, blah blah blah and make sure they do not show up.

My first thought are view templates but I would really benefit from a preventative measure to insure I don't ever have to look.

Change the view properties (uncheck "sections"Winking. I've done this plenty of times. You can also change the section element  properties so that it will only show up at certain scales. You ma y have a section that you only want to appear on the site plan, but not the floor plan.

Chris,

That is exactly what I dont want to do, since I am at the point in my project i literally have hundreds of views. When I set a section cut you then have to check every single view that may have a relationship to that specific cut.

What I want (and this will go on the wish list) is for sections to have the option that callouts have.

The "Show In" parameter.

You don't want to use view templates, but it looks like that is the only option left.

Since you have hundreads of views.

Modify one view and create a new view template from that view.

You can then apply the new template to the others.

You will need a new template for each scale.
