Hi This must be possible but my head is sore and I can't think straight. What I have is a family that I created. Generic Model type. All is fine except what I would like is for it to behave like a door so when it gets inserted into a project, I would like the mark to be automatiaclly filled out. It doesn't have to be automatically tagged just update the properties. Cheers for any help or ideas you may have.

Only doors are automatic so far ... I believe this is on the wish list.

i wish also! Cheers for the reply, seems strange that if they have this ability (automatic numbering of doors) it should be quite simple to add it to other famlies.

Is this still the case on Revit 2010?? I am running into the same problem, where u manually need to input all the marks. I did this for a Sign and Exiting plan (Imagine numbering about 145 components).....
