I have a square craftsman style column that I made with slanted walls.  (see attached file)  I need to add trim at the four corners of the portion that is siding.  I tried using a solid form, solid blend to make it.  It worked, but it wouldn't let me finish the in place family.  I got a message saying it can not be copied ???  Any suggestions on how to make the vertical trim for this column?

Thanks!

Try doing all the sweeps in the same family and do each of them independantly using pick path rather than copying them or using a Blend and that should solve your issue.  Alternatively, I would create an external family blend with adjustable parameters for the offset and then place them independantly.  Its always better to create families externally if they are repeated in any way...
