What are you try to build? the stud around the wall in 3D, or in 2D the details?

the stud around the wall in 3d with a metal panel attached.  i've built it as a stacked wall, and it seems to be working fine thus far.  I was just wondering if anyone knew a better way.  also, is it possible to wrap the metal panel around the bottom of the stud wall like it is shown in the pdf detail?
