Hey all,

It seems that I am having a problem with Revit '09 space tool reading the architectural model's walls as boundaries. Everytime I go to inset a space tag it states the space is not properly enclosed.

I have searched the tutorials and watched the Autodesk tutorial on placing space tag located here:

http://revit.downloads.autodesk.com/download/RMEContent/Space_Element_Creation.wmv

I am still without any luck. I was excited to find that I could alter the space tag family so that it can read the arch model room name and number so that we could keep everything coordinated but this little snag in not being able to place the tags has set me back a bit for now.

Is there an option somewhere that I am missing to have the space tag read the arch walls as the boundary?

I have attached a PDF screen shot of the problem. Any help would be very helpful!

Thanks!

Figured it out. I was unaware that one had to click on the Revit link go to element properties and check the "bounding" box. Didn't come by that in the tutorial. Just thought I would post up my findings for anyone else that ran into this problem.

Good detective work.  Thankyou for posting your resolution. Its always good to have resolved threads even if you end up resolving it yourself. Smile  I'm sure it will be a good resource for someone else.
