I have installed Revit 2009 on my Mac via VM Ware Fusion, and overall it works fine.

But when I want to select multiple items, it does not work to hold down the Control key while selecting items.

I have tried using the Mac key, the Option key, and every combination I can think of.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

James

Either remap the key in VMWare or use the other ctrl key (on the other side of the KB)

I'm having a same problem, not being able to select multiple objects in Revit. I am using 15" intelMac with VM Ware Fusion 1.1.3. I don't have a second control key on my keyboard, and I am not sure how to remap keys in VM Ware Fusion - On Preferences, I tried both options for enabling/disabling mac short cut. That didn't allow me to multi-select either. I googled how to remap keys in VM Ware, but their forums weren't helpful. Could you please help me?

I figured it out, so I'll post it here for all who follow:

In VM Ware Fusuion, go to preferences, and uncheck the boxes that enable Mac OS keyboard and mouse shortcuts.

I had the same problem.  The reason why this is happening is because on a mac, holding ctrl while clicking the mouse acts as a right click.

So in Revit when holding ctrl (to select multiple items) it thinks you want to right click.  You don't need to unset all your mac shortcuts, just one.

In preferences>mouse button> uncheck secondary button.  This should do it.
