Hi there,

First year architecture student in Wellington, New Zealand. Untaking his first project in Revit at this very moment and having heaps of fun while doing it. Have a question regarding the "edit profile". My current design has curved walls. The curved wall connect to a curved roof. It seems that Revit does not let me undetake such walls and replaces the "edit profile" with "opening". Is there a way around this??

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Jack

Hi there, first of all, Good Luck to your Studies, second, when you have curved walls the "edit Profile" is not allowed because only in "flat" walls you can edit the profile to change the shape of the wall... but what are you trying to do? attach the wall to roof? if so, when you pick in the wall and in the right side of "opening" you have "attach" "detach", pick in attach and in the same menu bar appears "Attach wall: Top / Base", by default is TOP, so pick in the roof and the wall goes to the roof....

Hello,

I am a student at Hennepin Tech. in MN. I look forward to learning Revit as I see it being the future of Architecture.  So far I am amazed with the knowledge of you all on this page.  Thanks and I'm sure I'll be here often with many questions.
