....................when you save a project under a new name, the file size drops significantly.  I noticed my little Vet Clinic was beginning to bog down (slow regens when you move the mouse type stuff) so I saved it under a new name.  It went from 21,000KB to 15,320KB and is noticeably less sluggish now.  I have a truss family that is placed 32 times in the project that I might have to dump.  Otherwise, there is not much to it.  No site, no 3D people, cars, nada, silch, nothing much.

It has something to do with magnetic fields and the cycle of the Moon. Kind of like the oceans tide.

............................................save it under the same ole name, it stays big.  Save the same, exact, stinking file under a slightly different name and, tadaaaaaaaaaaaa, it gets smaller.  How wierd is that?

I did some research on this a it turns out the when you change the file name the "compact file" option is automatically selected and greyed out. If you don't change the filename, the option for "compact file" is available for selection. These options are found it the saveas dialog by clicking the Options button in the bottom right.
