A bit of background first:

We have made the move over to Revit about 5months ago and our Revit system/setup is running well.

However, our external scheduling/BOM system is a little sick. Our system programmer custom built our Reporting software based on the ODBC export to an SQL Server, so we could refine the various BOM reports that we required. Great, worked well, awesome - except that he built it for Revit 2008, we have recently upgraded to Revit 2009, and he has left the company in between!!

So we are now stuck with BOM review software that struggles to cope with 2009, purely because 2009 has thrown in some extra parameters etc. that his code didn't allow for.

So we are in the market for some new BOM Reporting software. I threw this request out to our CAD Suppliers and they suggested that CostX could be our solution. This is the first I've heard of the software and while they provided an on site demo that seemed promising;

I was wondering if anyone else has used this software previously and what your thoughts were on mating it with Revit!?

 Or if anyone has any other BOM software suggestions.

thanks,Simon.
