my vertical bracing is displaying incorrectly in course plan view and I can't seem to figure out how to correct it.  I can override the settings for each of them and get what I want (parallel, hidden 3/32 lines, weight = 4).  But I can't for the life of me figure out what to change in object styles in order to control that.  I've changed the settings for Vertical Bracing under Structural Framing, and it has no effect.  Just for kicks, I changed the color of all items under Structural Framing, and the brace stick symbol did not change.

It's currently displaying as a solid line, black, line weight = 3.

Thanks!!

Do you try to edit the family and change the "Visibility in Coarse, medium and fine" and change the VG parameters into the family and not in the project?

You need to go into object styles and select the annotation categories tab at the top, once you're here you'll see "brace in plan view symbols" which is what affects how the vertical bracing displays in a coarse view in a plan and not the settings for vertical bracing under the structural framing tab within model categories. This affects how the bracing displays in medium and fine detail fior all views.

Must admit however I only know this due to a lot of frustraiton myself with exactly the same thing, let me know how it goes....

however this changes both the vertical and other usage types. how do you just change the other usage type to have a separate line type and weight.

cheers
