In the new features they show a sloped curved driveway with the pattern following the curve.  I cannot find anything in the help that shows how they have acheived this?

If you go under Revit 2009, new features, modeling, surface fill patterns, you will see a model with a driveway that the pattern follows the curve see the image I attachted (i hope it worked)

They probably just spit the topo surface and painted on a different surface. Experiment with this tool under your site tools.

You can also do this with subregions.

Lost??  'They' are . . . . . . . 'Autodesk'.
Skippy is refering to the 'New Features Work shop' located under the 'Help' menu in 'REVIT Architecture 2009'. I have attached the image Skippy is refering to. I noticed this myself earlier and did not investiage this any further. It says "Fill patterns can be applied to all surfaces in a model. Warping surfaces can display patterns as planar surfaces, adding to the visual fidelity of the model geometry. I'll see if I can replicate this and post an image.

Wow, this is cool. Thanks for a challenging question Skippy.
Not sure if this is exactly what 'they' did to acheive the image they display but see my attached images.
It sure looks the same?
I created a basic floor, then altered the top and bottom elevations to create the slope.
Then I created a new material called 'squares' and used the out of the box Drafting Pattern 'Cross Hatching' as the surface pattern. Drafting pattern not Model Pattern.
* The key is, I edited the Drafting Pattern 'Orientation in Host Layer' to be "Aligned with Element'. See image attached.
This looks great in 3D but when you look at it in plan view it is wrong. Maybe this is a '3d only' effect??

I understand the pattern changes you made, but still not working for me, must me how you made your floor, would you care to expand how you sloped your floor

First, draw the floor flat with two arcs and two straight lines. Then click on it and use the 'floor / roof editing tools' on the options bar. The first shape editing tool button is what I used to edit the bottom two points. I simply changed the bottom two points to be -15'. Then the slab warps accordingly. You need REVIT 2008 or better.
