I have a partition layout that is a group. I want to move around partions inside the group.

Usually I apply a dimension to a partion, click on the partition and then the dimension becomes active and I can type in a value.

This does not work inside the group. I can dimension a partion but when I click on the refering partition, the dimension is not activiated, It is outside the group.

How can I controll the precise moving of partions inside the group? The temporay dimensions work most of the time but not always because they snap to refernces I don't need.

Is there a setting to put dimensions inside the group?

You are using a group because you have a lot of the same layout .... right?  If not - DON'T!

You have found one of the pains of using groups.  You can add lines outside the group first and then edit the group.

The easiest way I use is with the temporary dimensions. Remember on those temporary diemsions, you can grab the square grips on the extension lines and drag them to whatever you want to set your distance by. They work like regular dimension witness lines that way.

Grabbing the temporary dimensions and putting them where needed works. Thank you.
