Any help appreciated Please see the attached images I have a beam that I need to notch into another beam in detail only. I have tried using a masking region however this also covers the main 838UB beam as well. Is there any form of draw order control in Revit? How would this detail be best achieved please?

Hi, i use the Masking Region like you can see in the images attached and it works, if that's what do you want?

You can either do as Typhoon suggests or simply add linework over top of the beam being cut - add your cut and then hide the beam in view.  If you use the masking region, change your masking sketch lines to invisible-heavy-light as appropriate.

The other suggestion that I had by the way was to use the coping tool from TOOLS > COPING.

It seems to work however it has a tendancy to cut a beam in such a way that it would not be done in reality.
