I posted about this before and still have not been able to figure this out. Anyone have any idea why I'm not getting a horizon. My settings are Exterior Sun Only, Sky: Cloudy. 1pm in Houston Texas.

This one really has me stumped.

Thanks!

Hi, i do like you do, the hour, place, Exterior Sun Only, Sky: Cloudy. 1pm in Houston Texas, put "Sunlight from top right, i think this is what you do, and the Eye and Target elevation of camera is 1.75 Meters, you can see the image attached, did you upgrade your Revit 2009? the Web update....1900?

Thanks for your reply. As soon as I read your reply I realized what I'm doing wrong. I was rendering in the regular 3D view and not using a camera. It works great now. Thanks!

In this version i don't check yet but in the older version (9, 200Shadey you spend more time if you render a regular 3d view than a Camera view, so i never render with out a camera view...

Sharina...make sure if your background style is not set in "color" instead of any kind of sky options in your rendering dialog. Hope it can help you.

Its all the smog you see...

It actually depends on where north is orientated.  There is one particular area in the HDRI image that is quite dull and unfortunately it looks rather crappy if it happens to form the background.  The other option it export as png and replace the background afterwards with your own image...

Hi Sharina...Have you seen all the parameters you can change in the rendering dialog?. Click Adjust Exposure and start playing with each of them until you find the exact point that you want to your rendered image. Hope it can help you.
