Does anyone know if Annotation symbols can become Annotation Symbols either drawn inside of the Revit package or either imported as a CAD file and fully exploded?

Thanks fofr any help you can offer!

I am not sure what you mean.

There are Annotations. These contain labels which display the elements properties and a grphic element - like window tags.

There are symbols - which contain only graphic elements -(and can be made to show types in values) - like electrical symbols

Both are created as external families and imported into the project.

You can import external CAD files into these families, but it is best to use Revit native fills and lines as it can get difficult to control the dsiplay of the graphic elements.

Oh I actually finally figured out how to make a symbol using the Annotation option and picking the catergory that is best for the object.  Thanks for your help though! BTW, I really like the option to load the symbol into more than one project or project template.....all in stroke...
