Create Separate Concrete / Steel Schedules
Many users wish to schedule the concrete columns separately from the steel ones. This can be simply done by using the Filter options witin the Schedule Table.Firstly though you need to make something in the concrete columns different to that in the steel ones. My recommendation is to open up each of the concrete column families (there are less that steel - so it's quicker to add something to this family group)Open up a concrete column family and in the Family Types add something into the Description field under Identity Data - try just the letter 'C' for concrete. Save the family and repeat for the remaining types. Now let's set up a schedule for just the concrete columns. Now in your project create a Column Schedule (name it Concrete Columns) and along with your usual required fields add in the Description field. You don't want to see the description, so now in the Format tab, set description to Hidden Field.Next in the Filter tab set the schedule to Filter by Description Equals 'C'
Voila - this table will now only schedule the concrete columns. To add in a schedule for the steel columns simply Duplicate the concrete schedule and re-name to steel, then just set the Filter to reverse the process i.e. Filter by Description Does Not Equal 'C'All done.
