In my current project, I have many wall/building sections. Previously, in cad we'd have the actual cut surface maintain its proper color and lineweight, and everything showing in the background (Far Clip View extents) would be kinda greyed out or something that wouldnt show as heavy as the cut surface. Is this possible in Revit? Please help! Thanks Post edited on 2005-04-18 19:33:36

Set everything in your view or certain categories to be halftone then just use linework tool for the part that you want it appear as heavy lines.

but i aproach the section/elevation linweight for dept option differently than using the line work (altough i still use it at times.) i have attaced a pdf with a small tutorail on how i do it. there are 2 small problems with the way i do it. (basically using multible section) but i'v sent them to autodesk in a wish list to be fixed. i would appriciate your thoughts on this as i know its a big problem for a lot of people and the tool that we are all looking for (screening by distance) is not in 9.1 or is not in development fo version 10 or so im lead to believe.
