Hi all!

I am a Revit Architecture 2009 user, trying to make a window family that incorporates many window types - some that have horizontal mullions, some have vertical mullions and some that dont have any or have both.  How do I turn the mullions into instance parameters that i can turn off/on in particular family types?  I have made parameters for the mullions, with on/off boxes in the family properties box but not sure how to link the parameter with the mullion...

Am I going about this the wrong way?  Any help or suggestions will be great appreciated.  Thanks Smile

Sounds like you are essentially trying to reproduce the functionality of a curtain wall?  May I ask what's wrong with the curtain wall tool for this?

There is a visibility ON/OFF parameter built in for every piece of solid geometry, in the properties click the grey box to the far right of the check box to link it to a parameter that you can control.

Hi

Thanks Mr Spot, i knew the answer would be that obvious!  What I have been trying to create is a window family for a house where all the windows are very similar but could also be used in other projects.  Also for the sake of learning to create my own families.

Thanks heaps for your help Smile
