So I have been wrestling with a few different ideas on keynoting a project that is split into two files and I wanted to see what other people experience has been. Here is the basic breakdown of the project: Project #1 = Existing building being remodeled Project #2 = New addition to existing building We are working on Project #2 in our Vegas office and Project #1 in our Reno office. My main goal is to link #1 into #2 and have all of my keynotes showing so I can plot from a single file. I have decided to do one of three things: 1. Document and plot the project seperately. 2. Create an invisible family that I can User Keynote in order to mimick the keynotes in the linked file. 3. Possibly bind the link and hope the keynotes are included with the bind? (I have no idea if this will work) If anyone else has any ideas I am open to suggestions. Thanks!

Unfortunately there is no easy way to have that happen. If you were to bind in the linked model you will lose all of your annotation text. You can always go back and re label the keynotes if you went the route. Your other option would be to creat a custom schedule for the keynotes instead of using the keynote legend, the reason why is that with a schedule you have the option to included the linked in objects. it may sound confusing but theres not an easy way of doing this, other than doing a seperate plot.

If your keynote has a free end, you can move it anywhere. It is just not associated with what you want. Just add the keynote somewhere that a model element exists and move it to the linked item. Not user friendly but it works.

Yeah I think the free end keynote may be the best bet.
