trying to create new wall type with green tile instead of red,                                                                             

i duplicated the red tiled wall

renamed it to green tile wall

changed appearance of finish of the red tile component to green

 result was both walls now show green tile, intent was to keep the original tile color as red with the new wall showing green

what step did I miss?

THE TWO WALLS SHOWN ARE THE SAME WALLS FROM PREVIOUS ATTCHMNT.

WHY IS IT THAT WHEN I CHANGE THE THICKNESS OF ONE WALL IT CHANGES ONLY THE WALL THAT WAS SELECTED BUT, WHEN I CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE CERAMIC TILE (ALSO IN THE "EDIT ASSEMBLY" DIALOGUE BOX) IT NOT ONLY CHANGES THE COLOR OF THE TILE IN THE SELECTED WALL BUT, ALSO THE WALL THAT WAS NOT SELECTED FOR EDIT.
