Recently, upgraded to Revit 2009. Started to place ceilings into the project and began to have room bounding issues. Suddenly, half the rooms that had ceilings added now display as a non enclosed regions. Checked all my setting- and can't figure out whats causing this...is there a bug in the new room bounding features? I notice I now have a room bounding check box for ceilings and floors - these are on. Also, it seems intermittent- same ceiling system works in one room and and not in another.

p.s. all these rooms were bounded and tagged in 2008 before the upgrade- this started to happen with the placement of ceilings.

                   Thanks

Hy, i think the problem is because you are tagged the rooms in 2008, try to delete one tag room (area, and so one) and put a new tag room in 2009 and check if the problem continue in that room...

When we open in 2009 a file from 2008 he don't recognise many things, materials, plantings, Rpc's, etc...

Solved this problem by going to the room and area settings and unchecking "area and volume" calculation - just calculate area only. All my tags and boundaries came back. Somethings up with the volume calc.

Another bug in 2009- the expanded template settings now let you set linked files- unfortunatley, this makes Revit crash. Tried it on 4 different computers in my office- crashed every time.

wish this worked because I'm doing a 500,000 sq ft project divided into 4 files and linked together,
