I am having some problems making a schedule to get the information that I need. 1. “Volume” is not a parameter option in the “material takeoff schedule”, only “material: volume”. So, the columns show up as 0.00 cf. Now, I can create a “structural column” schedule, and “volume” is an option, showing up correctly on the schedule. Is there a way to get both to show up on one schedule? Why do only certain parameters show up as options to add as fields to the schedule? 2. How can I get the individual dimension of elements to show up in the schedules (i.e. the “b” and “h” in structural columns, slab thickness, surface area, ect.)? 3. How can I assign the concrete strength to each element (i.e. 3000 psi)? 4. How do we add yes/no parameters?

Ok so it sounds like you are using revit structure and having quite a few problems . . . 1. try turning on the compute volumes also check out the formatting tab in your schedule notice where it says calculate totals . . . i dont really understand what you are asking with this, "Is there a way to get both to show up on one schedule?" you should be able to simply add them together in the fields tab. the reason that certain parameters are showing up and other are not is this, the ones that are showning up are what is called shared parameters, the ones that are not showing up are family parameters. you can search that on here and there are many posts about it or on augi also. 2. when creating a family you must create the dimension parameters as shared parameters then map the value to the dimension you have placed on the column, if you select the dimension you will notice a pull down on the options bar that will give you the option to create a new parameter or select an existing one of length. slab thickness should be able to be exacted from the system family of slabs . . . same as SA. 3. yes, shared parameter if you go into the project units (shortcut PU) you will see what options will give you PSI of PSF 4. when in a family select family types under parameter select add, the discipline will be common and then the type of parameter will be yes/no . . . then it will depend on what you will want it to be associated to . . . hth
