I am trying to do a tutorial in 2008.  I am doing the stepped footing tutorial.  It is asking me to put on two dimensions and then click the eq symbol at the right.  I can not for the life of me find this symbol.  I have no idea on how to get this, i have reread the dimension theroys about a 100 times now.  What am i missing?  Yes i searched help.

thats the thing, i dont get that eq symbol.  no matter what i do i cant get that eq symbol by the way the tutorial or the essentials book says. But....

I erased the dimensions, clicked the center line of the three, hoovered over a dimension symbol that allowed me to make the temporary dims to permanent.  Then it showed the eq symbol.  I even went to another system running another project and it too doesnt show the blue eq symbol when i tried to recreate that step from the tutorial.
