I am in 3D perspective view and am set in the view with "shading with edges" but it views as a combination of shading with edges and hidden lines. You can see both at the same time. I want shading with edges, so how do I get rid of the hidden lines? Is my file corrupt or is it fixable?  Thanks

Hi there, in the "Project Browser" pick once in 3D and delete them, go to a plan view and in the top menu, pick in the "House 3D", it generate another 3D view, pick in "shading with edges" and see if it solve  the problem...

Could you be a little bit more clear. I am understanding what you're saying, but I'mnot following your steps in revit. Thanks for your post, but if anyone else has anything to add, please do. It's starting to get very frustrating!!!

What he is saying is just delete the 3-d view.  You can do it from your project browser, the menu with all the views listed, floor plans, ceiling plans, sheets, so on.  Just right click and delete the view.  Then in the menu bar at the top just click on the default 3d view and it will make a new 3d view.  Sometimes I have to do this several times a day but lately I have not had to do it for a week..

I am not sure why the problem occures.  If you have a view you want to keep for a rendering or perspective just duplicate the view then once you get it where you want it just do not mess with it any more

I read from autodesk that when this happens, supposedly.... that if you do the following it will reset the 3D View:

Thanks, I'll try that. I'll post again if it doesn't work. Thank you again.
