RAC 2008

Hello.  I am currently in the final stages of a project, and a couple of issues have come up that I cannot figure out.  1)  On a stair detail, I used a masking region to hide part of the floor that I did not want shown.  When I view it on the computer, it looks fine; however, when I print it, the line is intact.  Any ideas?  2)  On my roof plan, I would like the roof lines to be darker (thicker) than what they print.  Iwent into Settings>Object styles... and changed the values but the lines did not change in appearance.  I'm a little stumped.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Hello,

1) I haven't really used the masking region tool that much but I used the filled region under the drafting tools quite often. If you can't figure out the masking tool I would recommend doing the filled with invisible lines.

2) another quick fix to try would be to right click the roof then select all. Then right click again and override graphics in view. Then go to by element. and then play around with the line weights in there.

Other than that I would recommend that you do a search in these forums ussually someone else has the same problem and I'm pretty sure these issue's have been addressed as well. Hope you get it figured out. -Steph

Masking regions will not hide detail lines, they will only hide lines from the model.

Not sure what lines you changed in object styles.  If you changed the correct one, that should have worked globally.  You can use the linework tool to change lines in a view.
