Hello,

I am currently working on a large residential project with over 50 doors, most are varying in some way. Aswell as over 150 windows again varying in many ways.

I have been using the schedules existing in revit, which as a schedule does, creates long lists of text. As an architect and thinking of the builders too, we work visually and want to see the object/elevation at the same time - not having to flick to other pages for the visual element.

In previous projects at other firms it is agreed in the office that the door/window information is written directly below the elevation which in turn displays all the visual components.

Therefore being new to revit, My question is can I create a family or similar tool which will be live and display the same information that appears in the schedule, individually for each door/window that can be placed directly below the elevation?

Any help would be good, Thanks in advance.

I just had a thought that one way to accomplish the above would be if I could create individual schedules for each door/window and format the feilds down the page instead of across the top?? is this possible, I had a play in the edit schedule properties but could not quite get there.

You could create a "tag" that reads the same information that a door schedule would read.

No, you can have multiple tags.

Questions like this are easily discovered on your own.  Simple put two room tags in the same room - one with the name only and one with the name and area.....
