Why don't you just start the stair the 170+/- above the floor and fix the sections?  If you need to do 3D work, you could add someting in place.   The railings will still work.

okso i got this to work, well sort of. the image looks right and it is well within tolerance but i wish revit was able to do semi automated. i will explain what i mean after i go through how to solve this incase anyone else has the same problem.

select your habndrail

edit

select the rail that isn't meeting the rest

on the options bar select height correction

and place in a figure

finish sketch

you will have to do this a few times untill you get (guess0 the correct height adjustment.

now this is where i wish revit had an option to automatically fix the the height adjustment.

thanks for all your help.

Hi there.

I've got a staircase with different riser heights. Bottom riser is 200mm high, top riser 100mm and others 150mm (refer to attached screenshot). Does anybody know how to create such stairs with different riser heights in Revit?

Do you really have different riser heights or are you trying to incorporate the finish at the floor and the landing?  That is what I see you trying to do in your section.  I suggest you do equal risers and add detail in sections to show this at the landing.

In most areas, riser height is always shown from finish levels, not a sub base.
