I have a large room, filled with numerous cubicles that need to be referenced within FMDesktop for databasing.  I have assigned the large as as a room and have tried using the room separation tool to isolate each cubicle.  Once I publish the DWF and open within FMDesktop I am no longer able to select the individual desks, chairs, computers, etc....

Basically, I'm looking for facility management of each desk.  Am I missing a step in REVIT?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Depending on how the cubicle family was created, you can use a parameter in the familiy to tag the cubicle with the information you want.  Just like you would tag windows, doors and kitchen equipment, you can tag the cubicles so that they are scheduled.  My guess is that if you can get the cubicles to schedule, it will show up in FMDesktop as well.

Let us know if you need more info on tagging the cubicles.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

I used the Room Separation tool to draw a grid within the space - ensuring that one cubicle occupies each grid position. Once that is published as a DWF and imported into FM I am able to select the grid positions and populate them with; equipment, personnel, etc... However, I am not able to get rid of the line work in FM (I've turned off the line work in REVIT before publishing).

Would you please explain more along the lines of tagging furnniture - similar to tagging doors, windows, etc... I have received a message stating that FM will not import the tagged information from REVIT.  Ideas?

Thanks
