We have a revit model that we built using a dwg underlay. It gave lots of errors coming in but finally did go in (several months ago). As we've progressed we needed to link in more autocad / revit projects but the coordination points aren't lining up. I've gone through every tutorial I can find and it hasn't helped. Our reseller couldn't get them to work either, but using a new file they worked fine. We tried binding the project into a new file, but that created more problems than it solved. Does anyone have an idea for fixing the coordination points?

I'm afraid it's hard to tell what exactly we're helping with.  What are the errors you are getting?  Are the links moving around everytime you make a change?  Are the links not loading in when you make a change?

Help us help you! :D

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

I'll give you anything you need, just let me know what you want!

Yes, the links move around if they get reloaded. Also, when you link a new dwg or revit file, they come in all over the place. There are no errors when it comes in or is reloaded, just an incorrect placement.

I've tried re-aquiring the point from a file, but it usually tells me everything is already placed there and there is nothing to move. . .

It sounds as if you are using the Center-to-Center option when linking models and DWGs in.  When you link DWGs, if you have it aligned to origina, be sure you are using the Origin-to-origin option in the link/import dialogue.  If you are using shared coordinates when linking Revit models, be sure you use the Shared Coordinates option in the link dialogue.

Are you doing this already?
