I would like to show the ceiling level on my reflected ceiling plans. If I use a spot dimension  - elevation and hover over the gib ceiling in my RCP the correct ceiling height is displayed on my cursor, but greyed out. when I click this in the hope to place it on my drawing, it does not appear.

Is this the correct way to place live ceiling heights - that are referenced to the model on my RCP, or is there a more specific way?

currently the project has some text written heights on the drawing but are not corresponding with  whats in the elevations.

Drafting > Tag > By Category

I've never thought to spot elevation it, but it works on mine. Not sure why it doesn't on your's, but I think the Tag is what you are after?

I agree with bauhaus1919 - our ceiling tag reads and gives the material and ceiling height when placed.

Hey, Thanks for your reply.

Yes a Tag did the trick, the reson it was not showing was I needed to use a Tag all not taged - selected element tool.

it works!
