I have read other threads about door schedules and have come to the conclusion that my problem stems from a linked file issue. We have split up our model between us and another firm (we have interior walls, they have exterior and the floor slab - not the best idea but it works alright). We are trying to schedule the doors from both models (interior and extreior) in the same door schedule. Our first problem (without even adding the linked file information in) was splitting the huge/long schedule up which we solved by filtering by "level" and creating 2 separate schedules for 2 separate sheets. This worked fine when it was only our door information. Now with the linked file information included Revit will not allow us to use our filter by "level". It is not even an option in the pull down menu. Our levels are named the same. I don't know if I am missing something important but it seems to be an issue with linking the other file in. Thanks for your help!

hi,

yes your right about this but a way around it is to create a shared parameter called "level" make it instance and an interger type, then filter by this shared paramater. a bit of extra work and it isn't automated as you have to tell which level the door is on but can work.Edited on: Fri, Jul 4, 2008 at 3:44:31 AM
