If I'm trying to render a house in the mountains at a specific LAT/LON, is there a program that can use DEM data to create a realistic environment to use as a backdrop? Thanks for any advice, Doug

If you want it that specific, why not grab the GIS info available for the area and make a topo for the site? In fact, sketchup can grab a topo from google earth which can then be imported into revit (not recommend because the geography is pretty ugly without modification.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |

The topo is what I'm talking about. I already use google earth which is great for elevations but there's no foliage. Years ago I had a program that could create scenery from the satellite data files but I forgot what it was and there has to be something better by now.

I remember reading about the software that you are referring to, but I have not seen anything recently that would produce the same/better results.
