I am trying to create a pattern file and i cant seem to do it. I followed the example given in the help but when i try to import i get an error that reads " 3rd line syntax error import aborted" does anyone know why this is happening? Here is the file as it reads now *Slate Tile 16" x 24". ;%MODEL. 45, 0, 0, 12, 36, 36, 12 45, -12, 12, 12, 36, 36, 12 -45, -12, 36, 12, 36, 24, 12 -45, -12 48, 12, 36, 24, 12 Any info would be of great help.

try changing your 12 at the end to -12. They way I view the numbers is as follows: angle, x offset, y offset, shift (left or right), distance to next repeated line, and then how long to pick the pen up. I always have -# at the end of the line, and I think of this as the pen being picked up... It works for me, maybe it can for you...

try this: *Slate Tile 16" x 24". ;%TYPE=MODEL 45, 0, 0, 12, 36, 36, 12 45, -12, 12, 12, 36, 36, 12 -45, -12, 36, 12, 36, 24, 12 -45, -12, 48, 12, 36, 24, 12 Here were your problems: -You needed the %TYPE= in front of the pattern type. -The last line, you were missing a ',' after the '-12' After this I was able to import the pattern fine.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |
