I have created a chimney pot family (not a very good one at that) and the shadows are incorrect (see image). I have tried removing the various cutouts and protrusions but the shadow does not change. I have used a stone as the material for appearance only. Any thoughts to why would be much appreciated, also can I turn off shadows for individual items (families) and are then any 'shadow options' when editing a family.

Cheers

Tim

This may be one you want to send to AutoDESK.  Maybe if you post your family, someone else can help.

As far as the controls - none in the family level and you can not turn off the shadow for individual elements as far as I know.

thanks, looks like it doesn't like Solid Blends, or at least my solid blend. I have changed to a straight extrusion (with the same cutouts and additions) and the shadows are fine.
