Hi.

I'm using Revit Arch 2008.  Can you access a list of elements in your project and then select the element by name?

Thank you.  Please respond.

P.S. In 3DS Max, it is called a "select by name" button.

If what you are looking for is a family, there's a subfolder called Family in your Project Browser (Bottom part) that branches to all the families in your model. You can select the name (if you know it) and right click and select all instances.

Thanks.  That helps.

When I export the 3D building as a dwg file, names are associated with every element:

Curtain Wall Mullions <Rectangular Mullion : 2" x 8" rectangular>

Doors <Single_Door_w_Vision_Lite_-_HM_DW_Frame_4849 : 36" x 96"> Glass

Lighting Fixtures <Suspended Linear 1 : 48">
