Is there anyway to drawing a line outside a crop view border of detail view. There has to be a way

I am trying to do the same thing. What I am currently working on are enlarged floor plans. I have the crop region set around the walls but I need to show unit entry tolerances (per code) outside of the current crop region. Is there any way to achieve this without messing with the crop region? TIA

Use a masking region with a hole in it ... the inside line of the mask is an invisible line where your crop region would normally be.
