I'm having an issue with seeing joists that i've created using a structural beam system.  The joists do not appear in section/ elevation.  I can create an individual beam which will show up.

Also, another issue i'd like to workout is that I'm trying to use the wood truss as an option for the beam type in the structural system.  What do I have to do in order to get that to be an option in the structural beam system.

Any help would be appreciate.

Thanks

Go inot the view you cant see them in and type vv or vg (this brings up visibility graphics)

scroll down and if Structiral Beam Systems isnt ticked, tick it and you should see Smile

If it is ticked then are you sure its a beam system you have drawn?

I figured it out.  When I create the structural beam system the default doesn't check the 3d option which actually creates a 3d model of the joists (this is why they weren't showing up).   The other thing though is getting a wood truss to show up as an option for a beam type.  Does anyone know how to do this???

You will have to load the family type inorder to be able to pick it in a project.
