Hi, I am trying to make a curved light that traces the edge of a balcony soffit - I have tried everything with no luck - can anyone please advise whether this is possible? Thank you.

Try in-place family from Modellling.."Create". Select Lighting Fixture as category. Use solid, sweep and define your path as the slab edge.

Whoa.... Are you trying to make a fixture that lights?  If so, I don't believe the in-place family will work.   With an in-place family, you could do a material that glows ... but that may not be enough.   Because lights that work are either a linear source or a point source, you may have to  model it like you would build it.  It would not be one light but a series of lights.

Thanks so much for both replies. I have managed the glowing sweep and as you cannot copy multiple light sources within the same fixture a series of 'hidden' linear lights behind the sweep is probably the best bet I guess........
