I am using RA 2008, and I am wondering if I can lock a workset so that noone can edit/move it. I am trying to lock my columns as they change from floor to floor and I am looking for a way to do this without having to lock each individual column. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make a new workset for columns. Then, change all your columns to that worket via Element properties. Check-out the column so nobody can edit them. Every time somebody wants to move your column, he has to ask your permission.
