My team noticed, that since we introduced a scope box into our databae the wall editing functions are limited, and we are not able to access the section view window within the system family editor. The error notice is :" The Highlighted Datum can not be associated with the specified Scope Box, because the Datum plane does not intersect the Scope Box." We tried to disassociate and proceed but could not find anything that would resolve the issue. I am wondering if anybody else has the same problem. I made a test file and introduced a scope box, a wall and a couple windows and found that the test file worked fine. So the issue seems not solely related to the scope box. Please advise. Thanks in advance. Fabian PS Unfortunately my project file is 40mb and I am unable to publish it at this forum.

I haven't experienced this problem, but I can see the Revit logic as to why it may occur. The wall being editied may have it's base or other constraint outside the limits of the scope box. Have you tried duplicating the view and in the dup view remove the scope box to edit the wall? We have found that in our use of Revit we are creating what we call "working views" that are free of scope boxes and the like so we can have unfettered access to the model elements. HTH Tom
