See attached pics. I am trying to make a arch. column work here. i tried to do it as seperate pieces of wall but the wall construction seems to be too thick for the wrap in plan to look right. I am not sure if whats in the core area in the structure of the adjacent wall is affecting it from looking right or if it is a bug in revit. the first pic is what i am getting now with an autocad drawing linked in for reference. the second pic is without the autocad plan. the third is my wall structure. basically i cannot find any info on how to use the columns fully to get the correct wrappings that we want. It should look like the wall is just bumping out and coming back in. No stone on the inside of the building. please help. thanks!

You don't really tell us what you want where - some notes would have helped.  I think you want a little wrap on the outside that is just stone - and a wrap on the inside that is just stud & gyp.  (BTW - What is the inside - you don't have any in your wall?)

I think I would have three wall types here.  Your normal wall  and then a veneer only for the outside and a metal stud & gyp only for the inside wrap.

Thansk for the input. The wall is made up of whats in pic #3. Steel stud, densglas substrate, vapor barrier, insulation, airspace and stone veneer. I will draw something up real quick and post it. in the meantime are you saying to not use the arch columns at the very least? In my mind it should be the same wall type. i will try to explain better in the next post....

Here is a sketch that hopefully explains better what I am looking for.

I don't know your project but why would you jog the wall when it appears that it can pass by your column.  Regardless of how you want it to look , think of how this will be built.   Even if you want a visual bump out at the column, they would run the betal stud straight through and just bump the stone out.... model it that way.

You say you want to use an architectural coulmn.  Why?  It appears you should have a structural steel coulm with a metal stud and gyp bd wrap... again - model it that way.

OK ... First - REVIT does not like walls that are so short that one side ends before the other side of the wall starts....In these short wall areas, you need to click on the wall then right click on the blue dot and select do not join.  Now place your walls so the outside edges are correct.  Everything will elevate correctly but you will need to clean up things in plan with the edit cut profile.  Your other option is to create a special family that wraps here and will join with you walls.
