Hi

RS '08

It's been a while since I last used revit & I've forgotten a lot.

In the attached, how do I draw a GB1 between the midpoints of the two pilcap foundations?

I can't get it to snap.

Am I using the correct type of beam? I created the pilecap families so there could be something wrong with them.

Also as the pilecap is deeper than the beam i thought there would be dashed lines at their joint. Any ideas how to achieve that?

Hope you can help

Cheers

Dave F.

Dont use the ground beam family, I dont know why its in the library to be honest.

Instead use the concrete beam and edit to suit your ground beam size accordingly, then you can draw from snap to snap.

Hope this helps

Hi Martin

Thanks for the reply.

I maybe wrong but I think Ground Beams don't have any analysis info & don't get exported to the likes of Robot.

I'm still at a loss how to solve my prblem.

Dave, you can change how each element is anylised, I.e Foundations etc

Have a bash and export it to your design software is the only thing I can suggest.

Let us know how you get on.

Martin
