What i am trying (unsucsessfully) to do is in a family place parameters that show who created (who inserted the family) the object & the date it was inserted into the project. it has to be automated. Similar info as the revision cloud. What i am tring to do is create a custom revision cloud that will show in a normal schedule (not a titleblock schedule). reason for this is i need to know which room the revision cloud belongs too. (IF ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET A REVISION CLOUD TO TELL WHAT ROOM IT BELONGS TO THAT WOULD BE COOL) The project i'm working on is massive in both size of building and number of rooms. so i need a function that is easy for people to find where the revision is. so far, my family is basically a rectangle that has instance lenght & hight so it can be stretched easily. it is also room aware so i know what room its in. it also has shared paramaters for comments. i would like the date and created by to be automated, as i know i can creat non automated date and created by. any help would be much appriciated.

I don't believe there is any way for a room to own a revesion cloud. Revisions are annotations, not model elements.

Wish ther was at least one family that was both annotative and model elemetns or at least be able to nest them together. its a pain they way revit goes so far but sometimes seems so limited. thanks
|
