When we have previosuly worked on a project in AutoCAD "tagging" a column/beam/bracing etc would be easy, and we would only ever "tag" tehm in one view usually in the plans, if this item appeared in Section/Elevation we would not "tag" it due to duplication problems. With Revit it Tags everything meaning we have the potential where every time we change a column size we have to re-issue all drawings it appears in, meaning more work for ourselves as well as the point we may miss one! Is there a way that Revit can recognise it has already "tagged" an item and not tag it in other views? Any Help is Gratefully Received!!!!!

The control for this is yours, you just need to set up your proceedures. We do only architectural but I assume REVIT structure is the same. When you place an element, you can turn on or off automatic tagging. If you choose to turn it off in all cases, then you can tag items in the views you want them tagged in. When you tag, note that you can tag all not tagged (in that view) or individually tag items. We like to be in control so we usually do not tag all not tagged.
