I have been starting to generate live 3d details. First I create a new 3d view. I cut a section on plan and orient the 3d view to that section. I am able to detail the 3d section and place it on a sheet, but I am unable to reference that 3d view to a section cut or callout in plan. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What do you mean when you say, "I am unable to reference that 3d view to a section cut or callout in plan"? Are you trying to create a call-out tag on plan that points to the 3D section. Can you send a screenshot?

From View pulldown menu, click New, drafting view. From the your browser, drag the 3D section view you created into the newly created drafting view. From Design Menu (or pulldown) , View, Callout, along option bar click Reference other view check box, from the option select the newly created drafting view. Then drag that drafting view into one of your sheet view.

Unfortunately, it is not working for me. Perhaps because it is not possible in Revit Structure 08? Maybe there is a drafting view setting that is wrong. It will not allow me to drop a 3d view into a drafting view via the browser.
