Hello,

I had this 6 floor level building. In the design process, the placement of doors may not ncessesarily start on the lower most level. it may start on any level say 2 then , basement level 5. Upon Generating the Door schedule, The mark now is not in order according to Level but according the the time it was created.

How to I change the door mark sorted accendingly and according to Level. starting 01 on basement and the last door mark on Level 6.

 Thanks.

You can sort them by Sorting/Grouping. Right click your door schedule on browser and edit its properties. Find Filter entry under Other. Along Sort by, select by mark, Ascending.

To answer your question, add a floor field to your schedule and sort by that.  You can hide the field.

Because doors are numbered in the sequence of when they are placed we have the problem you are describing.  I personally don't like doors jumping all over the place. REVIT makes it relatively painless to renumber your doors so why don't you do that?  I favor renumbering late in the project after we think most of the doors are in place.  To assure that every door gets renumbered correctly, I sometimes renumber all of the doors on a floor with the same number .... 100, 200 etc. or even an xx number.  I can then go to the floor plan and number them in the sequence that makes sense and if the door  shows up in the schedule with an xx number, I missed it.
