Hi Guys

Is there a way of manipulating a schedule?  I.e I have a schedule of foundations and some of the information in the "type" field I dont want.  How can I delete that?

Your question is so general that it suggests that you need to spend some time with either (or both) your REVIT manual (avaiable with your subscription) and or your help menu.

Under help / schedule look at hiding columns or adding / deleting fields.

Ahhhhh not so fast padawan!

I havent explained it clear enough.

I have several piled foundations on my drawing.  These Piled foundations I have given the piles marks etc.

I have produced a schedule to get the information off.  Now I have chosen the following fields:

Mark - For pile number

Type - For the Pile Diameter

Then I have added the following fields in to add the information via the schedule;

Pile Cut off Level

Pile Working Load

Now.  The type is pulling up the Pile Diameter, but it is also pulling off the Pile cap information with it which I dont want, so its not the columns I want to hide its certain rows I want to hide.

I am hearing this alot Smile

Users ask on how to eliminate certain objects from the schedule, and the ready answer is: THE MAGICAL FILTER COMMAND.

Well the FILTER command does not filter TYPE or FAMILY:TYPE which seems to be a major flaw in the program. What I suggest you do is either create a new shared parameter, or use one of the existing parameters that are not being used (such as COMMENTS) and custom the filter accordingly......

Filters are the way to go.  See my post here: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=11700
